FSCS Levy Dodge With EU PassportingFSCS Levy Dodge With EU Passporting.

According to the Federation of European IFAs (Feifa), IFA firms that consider ‘passporting’ will not avoid operating under the RDR, but they will avoid having to pay the FSCS levy.

Feifa have seen a large number of enquiries from UK-based IFAs looking to domicile outside of the UK and believe this is due to the fact that IFA firms do not feel valued by the Financial Services Authority.

If the firms have passported, they will not have to pay the FSCS levy, but may be subject to a levy in the relative jurisdiction if there is one.
