FOS Complaints Down.

In the 3 months to September, complaints to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) in connection with payment protection insurance (PPI) fell from 56,025 to 19,259.

However, overall the number of complaints received by the FOS rose by almost a quarter. A spokesman for the FOS believes the rise is probably due to consumer concern over the unstable economic situation.
