Following previous roadshows and assessments as part of their treating customers fairly campaign, the Financial Services Authority (FSA) is to carry out ‘regulatory reviews’ of small firms.

They will also conduct a series of workshops and assessments to look at thinks like good governance, how potential risks to the business and customers are applied, good prudential regulation and reporting.

Firms will be sent letters inviting them to attend the workshops, but attendance will not be compulsory. However, the regulator reviews, which are due to commence in February, will be compulsory.
