Legal And General In Cofunds Bid.

According to reports, Legal & General (L&G) are bidding to acquire Cofunds. The Sunday Telegraph has reported that Mark Gregory, head of savings at L&G has written to Cofunds chief, expressing an interest in acquiring the platform.

The Telegraph has also reported that private equity firm Bridgepoint is also interested in the company.

In March this year, L&G discarded its exclusivity deal with Cofunds for the distribution of its bond and pension wrappers, which had been in place since 2005.
