FSA Compliance Costs £1.4bn.
The figures are for regulations consulted on and introduced over the past 12 months by the FSA and show the costs that the UK’s financial sector will have to meet every year from now on.
The FSA has launched 18 separate consultations on changes to law since October 2010, covering areas such as data collection, capital requirements, the handling of consumer complaints and financial crime according to Hargreaves Lansdown.
