According to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS), they are concerned that claim management companies (CMCs) are continuing to submit incomplete and inaccurate complaints on behalf of investors.

The FOS has been working with claim firms to address false complaints and quotes examples where claim firms have submitted payment protection insurance complaints on behalf of customers who did not have a PPI policy.

Any cases that the FOS receive that have no information or without the right information are sent back to the CMCs as they expect firms to provide the relevant information when submitting a case.
