In an article published in Prospect magazine and in an article in IFA Online, regulators are not clever enough to spot problem areas and act quickly enough to prevent or limit their damage, according to the chairman of the Financial Services Authority (FSA).

The FSA is being replaced next year by 2 new regulators, one inside the Bank of England, the other a standalone consumer watchdog.
